STARTUP WORLD 2017 Announces PHOTONICS Award Winners

The STARTUP WORLD at LASER World of PHOTONICS in Munich showcased the most ground-breaking laser and photonics applications from 26-29 June 2017.

An expert jury evaluated the TOP 5 product applications presented live on stage and selected three winners. Meet the startups who were awarded with cash prizes during the PHOTONICS Award Ceremony at the STARTUP WORLD:

ContinUse Biometrics, Israel (1^st Place)
ATR Elements, Germany (2^nd Place)
Crystalline Mirror Solutions, Austria (3^rd Place)

A big variety of cutting-edge innovations were put into the spotlight at this year’s competition, ranging from a cost-effective and signal-enhanced silicon ATR Crystal, a handheld remote and contactless bio-sensing device, semiconductor supermirrors, a matchbox series up to an extremely bright deep UV supercontinuum source.
