Capmo, an ESA BIC Bavaria startup, and Max Bögl Modul AG announce their cooperation to push forward digitalisation and cross-linking in the construction industry.
Capmo, the Munich-based startup, is developing intuitive software for construction sites, enabling collaborations to be digitalised. Capmo uses artificial intelligence and modern web technology to make construction projects more sustainable and efficient.
Digitalisation in the construction industry is extremely helpful for identifying unutilised efficiency potential. In earlier times, digitalisation in construction was revealed with CAD software and more recently with BIM planning methods. According to a recent study, only 5% of processes on construction sites (performance level 8) are managed digitally. However, digitalisation can ensure process reliability and thus improve work processes.
Dr-Ing Patrick Christ, Managing Director of Capmo GmbH, explains: “With our software, we want to take pressure off site managers and improve the cross-linking between construction site, office and production: Simple data acquisition and fast communication are key to improving on-site processes.”
The Capmo software is currently being tested by site managers, quality managers and production managers at maxmodul, the residential construction system of Max Bögl, to leverage site communication and quality documentation. Through direct and process-based communication between construction and production managers, the processes on the construction site as well as in production are set to be designed more efficiently.
