Cooperation between Cevotec and Composite Automation for North America

At JEC World in Paris – the leading fibre composite trade fair – ESA BIC Bavaria alumnus Cevotec announced its cooperation with Composite Automation, LLC as its official representative for North America. With this new partner, Cevotec is establishing the Fiber Patch Placement technology on the North American market. According to Thorsten Groene, Managing Director of Cevotec, US producers have shown great interest in this technology. Cevotec’s additive manufacturing technology enables automation options for composite producers.

Cevotec is bringing the Fiber Patch Placement (FPP) technology to market. It’s an automated, patch-based production technology for carbon fibre preforms that follows a completely new manufacturing approach. As a one-stop shop for its technology, Cevotec provides customised production systems that include an easy-to-use software suite for patch laminates. Cevotec also offers product development and production as a service for OEMs. The customers benefit from better and lighter products of the highest quality – all through scalable series production techniques devised in Germany.
