EULA IT Providing Solutions for Brazilian Sustainability Project

A Brazilian business delegation visited ESA BIC Bavaria startup EULA IT in Nuremberg, which is aspiring to incorporate their disruptive IT integration platform in an ambitious Brazilian landscape project for more sustainability.

During the four-day visit to Germany, the Brazilian delegation from the municipality of Alta Floresta, Mato Grosso State met with representatives from public and private organisations in the cities of Cologne, Eschweiler, Mohnheim and Nuremberg. The visit is the result of a Brazilian corporate sustainability project (Creating Shared Value – CSV) implemented by FGV Projetos in Alta Floresta for the multinational energy corporation ENEL Green Power. The delegation aims at giving continuity to the sustainable development trajectory of Alta Floresta through the acquisition of cutting-edge competencies and the establishment of institutional partnerships with German organisations.

Discussions with the Brazilian delegation resulted in a declaration of intent to develop a project for environment monitoring for water, carbon and ecosystem services based on the “MIOTY technology”, a wireless IoT platform of ESA BIC Bavaria’s technical partner Fraunhofer IIS in Nuremberg. In addition, it is planned that ESA BIC Bavaria startup EULA IT gets the unique chance to apply their experience on system integration for collecting all data from the sensors and send them to a clouding platform where the data is processed and visualised. Sustainable Future Strategy for City of Alta Floresta

Alta Floresta is a pulsating and modern city in the extreme north of the state of Mato Grosso, located in the transition area between the Savannah and the Amazon rainforest. In this context, local stakeholders and FGV Projetos have elaborated, in a co-design perspective, a multidimensional strategic plan for Alta Floresta which envisions a sustainable future for the city. The plan is aligned with the city`s progressive new development paradigm that aims at being sustainable, socially inclusive and economically viable. At the same time, it is coherent with the strategic vision of the Governor of the State of Mato Grosso that, as expressed during the latest United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 21) in Paris, includes a significant reduction of greenhouse gas emissions (six gigatons of CO2) until the year 2030.
