Chair of the DLR Executive Board visits AZO

Prof Dr Pascale Ehrenfreund, Chair of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) Executive Board, visited Anwendungszentrum GmbH Oberpfaffenhofen (AZO) on 4 July 2017.

During her visit at the headquarters of AZO, Prof Dr Ehrenfreund met the AZO team, explored the huge diversity of AZO’s innovation competitions, Accelerators, App Camps and the ESA Business Incubation Centre (BIC) Bavaria, supporting growth all along the value chain.

She was introduced to the ESA BIC Bavaria startups ViaLight Communications GmbH and Vectoflow GmbH. The high-flying startups presented their future-oriented applications and products to the Chair of the DLR Executive Board.

Ever since its foundation in 2004, AZO – the spin-off of DLR, has supported young companies to establish their business ideas in the market. AZO manages the ESA BIC Bavaria, one of the most successful incubators with 123 supported startups generating over EUR 140 million annual turnover.
